Quite possibly one of the most diverse and effective actors of our age; Fillion’s facial expressions are quite possibly the most magnetic one could ask for in an actor.

I can’t wait to see this production and his take on the character.

I admire the way this great looking guy isn’t afraid to make himself look silly, or bloody, or whatever else he has to do to get the film right. Not every guy would be so secure with himself.
I do have one question though…Why is this guy not a HUGE star?

    XXOO,

I agree about Nathan’s versatility. I remember watching OLTL and thinking, “This kid isn’t going to last long here. He’s much too good.” I was right. And he can SING, too???!?!?! Holy crap…

Edmonton!! right on an Alberta boy. I have seen act one and now I desperately need a t-shirt. I don’t think there is a power in the verse that can stop me from watching this.

    Matt Says:

I love seeing Mr. Fillion’s skill displayed in the role of the douchey, self-absorbed superhero. Quite the departure from the mysterious yet awesome captain of Serenity. Playing a douche is quite different from your usual antagonist…because they don’t necessarily know they are screwing things up!

Having watched with interest the budding careers of messers Whedon & Fillion for some while, I now feel compelled to make the observation that in ‘Dr Horrible’ they may finally have found the vehicle that will launch their names into the stratosphere of public recognition so richly merited by their previous endeavors!

As long as the fates who rule us all continue to find ways to join Fillion’s commanding dramatic presence with Whedon’s ironic & curly toes, who shall say them nay?!

What a great combination, wonderful chemistry, and creative genius!

    Emily Whitfield-Wicks Says:

It is wonderful to see Nathan singing, I think it’s a brilliant musical and wish it was on the big screen.
I am another Firefly fan and loved Nathan as Mal with his engaging charactor and his dry sense of humour. But this really is the best role he has taken since then (although he is great in everything he does!), as he such an energentic, naturally entertaining and amusing person in real life, it’s nice to see him doing something that will bring out his natural talents. I think Joss Whedon is ingenious in all his work, and hope Nathan Fillion will play many more roles for Joss in the future. Well done Joss and Nathan, Dr.horrible is a masterpiece.

I really enjoyed Nathan as Captain Hammer. He played him to perfection and I had no idea he could sing so well! Beautifully acted Nathan, it’s been a while since I laughed so much…and then cried (but I expected no less of Joss). Thank you Nathan and thank you Joss for your intricate wisdom in choosing Nathan.
