Dr Horrible Conspiracy?

Dr Horrible ’s Sing-Along Blog is without a doubt worthy of being called popular all over the internet, appearing on the front page of the LA Times, TIME, MSN.com and many many more places and within 24 hours shot to #1 on iTunes TV downloads (people parting with hard earned cash!) clearly popular - but not with the digg PTB !?

Digg by its very nature is supposed to be all about what’s popular, but it seems (and not for the first time) that some popular items are deliberately blocked by digg with no explanation or accountability.

I’m sorry. It’s my fault. I block Digg cookies. I’ll make up for it by working on the Whedons’ next project.

(Hey. Can’t blame a guy for trying.) :P

While you’re at it, why not digg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hP_6Dlvk0Xs - Dr Dreadful’s YouTube Riposte to Doctor Horrible - and job application.

Unfortunately, this is kind of a common occurrence with digg, due to the way they handle their algorithm. It depends less on the amount of users that digg an article and more on the diversity of the users that digg it. Kevin discussed it on the blog a while back (http://blog.digg.com/?p=106). Now and again, you’ll see an article get popular and not show up in the top stories. I hate to see it happen to something as wonderful as Dr. Horrible though.

Uh… what!? Give me a break. Digg is hardly in the business of playing favorites. I’ll believe it when you prove it.

Don’t know much about Digg. In italy we don’t use it much. But while i was having a look around i noticed that none of the articles about D.H, appear in the Top 7 days nor in the Top 30 days (or even 365).
Given the number of diggs and days they’ve been published, they should be at least in one of these top classifications… am I wrong?

That looks like censorship to me…

How can you not love this short movie? Neil Patrick Harris is a hoot. Who knew
he could sing? And the whole thing of making fun of blogs and bloggers–how
    great is that?

Has anyone mentioned it seems a perfect metaphor for our dolt President?? Th ink about it–likeable, not very bright but ambitious guy has big plans, they come to be and wreck things, in the end. It’s perfect. It’s W all over, guys.

Just wait ’til Halowe’en, folks. It’ll be all “Dr. Horrible”, “The Hammer” and “Moist” costumes!
