Just wondering, can anyone confirm the release of an actual Dr. Horrible CD sometime later? I know that the soundtrack was released via iTunes just today but i REALLY don't want to download it off of iTunes. I'm very anti-digital music downloading, legal or illegal. But I will download it if there aren't any plans for an actual CD, which is why I'm asking if anyone has heard. I know Wikipedia says it will be released on CD later, but, you know, that's Wikipedia. As much as I love it I don't completely trust it.

Wow, you want to buy a physical CD because you are adamantly against downloading over the Internet the music soundtrack of a movie that was immensely poplular and downloaded over the Internet? We need the Fark \"Ironic\" tag.

These are not the hammer.

The only reason I want  CD is because I like higher quality than compressed sound files and also having a physical backup in case something bad happens to my computer. Besides I just like CDs. They're pretty. I collect them. The internet is great, but the quality of something on physical media is better is all. No need to attack me about it...

Some people  - I include myself in that just like something tangible in their hand - it's like reading a book, I think it is more personal.

Don't get me wrong. If and when a physical CD of the soundtrack becomes available, I'll probably buy it, but now days for me that's a rarity. Even when I do buy a CD instead of digital files, I do it only for sentimental reasons or because I'm a big fan of a particular artist, and the first thing I do when I get a CD is rip it to mp3 and put the CD away.

These are not the hammer.

Thank you for understanding Moonfire. I also agree with you, about CDs and with books too. Nothing like the smell and feel of a brand new CD or book =)

So does anyone have info on a CD release? Anyone?

I'm one of those people that go for the physical CDs always, over the digital ones, even though I never actually listen to my physical CDs. Just... weird like that. Still, I got this, 'cause I just couldn't wait anymore 😉

I imagine there's definitely a way to get it out on physical CD -- like OMWF was, so it's definitely within the realm of possibility. Especially since it's like #2 on iTunes in the US and #1 in Canada/Australia, I think? So there's clearly profit to be had. 🙂

There's nothing wrong with wanting a hardcopy (CD).  The quality is better.
