Favorite lyric would have to be either

\"The dark is everywhere and Penny doesn't seem to care that soon the dark in me is all that will remain.\"

\"Yes! Captain Hammer's here, hair blowing in the breeze!\"

The first one is really moving and the second one is just plain funny.

oh! goodness, look at my wrist! I've gotta go!

At first, my favorite song was Brand New Day, simply because of the fact that it's about murder in an extremely upbeat way.

But then, after watching the whole thing a few (more than that) times, I completely fell in love with Slipping. How Billy sings to the frozen Captain Hammer about how much he sucks, and then how he sings to the people about how much they suck. And then he goes on a rampage, managing to add the line "two R's," and have a totally awesome look when he says "then I win." And yet, he still cares for Penny through all that. Dr Horrible hasn't taken over yet. He even has to give himself a little pep talk to actually go through with his plan.

The lyrics that really hit me were the first lines in Everything You Ever. "Here lies everything / The world I wanted at my feet."

I absolutely love Brand New Day. It's different than the rest, and I admire NPH for being able to sing it, as he mentioned in the DVD it was hard to sing. My Eyes would be my next favorite, the opening for Act 2. And then there would be Slipping and My Freeze Ray. My favorite lyrics... hmm...

"All the angels sing because you're gonna die"

"Now that your savior is still as the grave your beginning to fear me"

"Any dolt without a brain/ Can see the human kind has gone insane"

"Love your hair/ What?/ No, I just, love the... air"

"A thing"

Honestly, they're all fantastic, and I've learned "Freeze Ray" on piano, but the more I think about it, my favorite songs are "Slipping" and "Brand New Day". I'm a Broadway geek, and all of the ryming in everything but the choruses of BND remind me of Sondheim! "Now that your savior/Is still as the grave/You're beginning to fear me!" LOVE how that comes outta nowhere, and when the theme comes in in the middle. And just how fast the "This appeared as a moral dillemma/'Cause at first, it was weird/Though I swore to eliminate/The worst of the plague/That devoured humanity/ It's true, I was vague on the 'how'/So how can it be that you/Have shown me the light?" is. EPICNESS.

PS: Also Bad Horse. That is all.
