The Guild.  I've been a The Guild fan for a while and I was wondering about the dvd, season two, etc. I wandered over to watchtheguild.com and there was a link to Dr Horrible and I was like 'what's that?'  Clicked over last free day and saw Joss's name and was like wow, I mean I'm a pretty big serenity/firefly fan so I watched through the first episode and immediately opened itunes and hit buy season pass.

I saw an ad posted by Dr Horrible in Evil Living about his blog and I thought, sure, why not see how other people are working on their League application. I have to say, the singing? Kind of 90s. I remember Twist Ranger actually writing his own theme song back when he was into the Jesus and Mary Chain, but come on, no self-respecting villain does that! Except Electro Plague, but that's his thing, the synthesized beats of agony. It's more of a move than a theme song. I saw a guy's ear come off once. No blood, just fell off. It was awesome.

Heh, I've never seen anything by Joss Whedon (well, except Toy Story) before. I found it because Fandom!Secrets (on LiveJournal) was overflowing with secrets about its greatness and it looked interesting from the little I could gather from that, so I looked it up on Wikipedia and found a link from there.

They call me moving guy, because I move the audience to tears!

A friend of mine was bugging me to watch it. I finally gave in...and loved it! I'd heard of it before, but hadn't gotten around to actually watching it (had a tab open to the main page at one point). I've seen about half of the first season of Buffy. I liked it, but I wouldn't say I was a big Whedon fan before seeing Dr. Horrible.

I got back from holiday on the 20th, checked a bunch of webcomics, and everyone was raving about this 'Dr Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog' thing. Unfortunately, I left it until the next day to check it out, by which time it had gone.  So I was pretty frustrated by that, since I live in the UK, and so can't get it via iTunes yet.

But then I came back, and I loved it, and recommended it to pretty much everyone I know!

Aaaannd... now hulu.com have stopped people outside the US from watching it 🙁

Oh well, back to waiting for it to appear on iTunes uk, I guess...

Lifehacker! I'm definitely a fan of The Guild, but I hadn't been keeping up because of exams and lab and craziness. I had definitely never seen anything Joss Whedon's done before... am not a big TV person at all (the TV in our house really doesn't have any channels on it, and I don't really mind it that way at all) so this was an amazing introduction. I'm rather... obsessed now. *cough* I can't wait to buy the DVD though, because I really don't like iTunes' restrictive formats. 😡

I'd fallen in love with Joss's writing through Buffy, Angel, and Firelfy.  I hear a rumor that he was involved in the upcoming new Star Trek series and immediately jumped on Google all excited and stuff.  I didn't find anything to confirm the rumor but I did discover DrH just after act 1 was released.  My timing couldn't have been better.

(This is the first time I've been required to do math to make a posting!!)

Anyway, I was listening to NPR (All things considered, I think) and the reporter was describing the show, and how NPH 'donned goggles and a white lab coat to become the evil Dr. Horrible,' and there was a sample of the singing.

Singing?  I was intrigued.  I love shows with singing.  But with my painfully slow Internet connection, I was only able to see act one from youtube (ouch, ouch, ouchie!)  and that was way out of sync.  But I fell in love.  I hadn't seen NPH in himym, and had only seen a few moments of Firefly here and there; so I had no pre-conceived ideas, or not many, at any rate.  After finally being able to see the complete show at a friend's house, I went to I-tunes and got the season pass.  I've seen it 10 times now.

I was so stunned at the ending; really.  Darn, I thought, where can the story go from here?  *sniff* It took a few days to realize that was the *END*  🙁

Now I'm watching Firefly as fast as Netflix can ship the disks!

I should have heard about it from my big brother, the biggest Joss Whedon fan there is (and who introduced my to Firefly & Serenity), but I surprisingly didn't.  I actually read about it in Entertainment Weekly about 3 weeks ago.  After I watched it once I watched it again the next night, and then again with my husband the night after that!  He loves sci-fi, but just can't get past the singing *sigh*

Originally I was most excited to see Nathan Fillion again, but now I am really admiring Neil Patrick Harris's talents.  How I Met Your Mother is one of my favorite shows - we need to see more of NPH!

I've been reccomending to several friends, but so far no converts yet...

I heard about it on NPR http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=92678153, but NPH is on every freakin' TV show nowadays it's impossible not to hear about it. He was on Wheel of Fortune the other night for Christs sake!

I came across it by accident in The Observer one Sunday - being a long-time Buffy fan i was lucky enough to catch it whilst Hulu was still available overseas. Am now a devotee of HIMYM and hoping that seasons 2 & 3 will eventually be available for Region 2.

A friend of mine told me to sit down and watch it one night at his house. I said maybe at home some time.

So the next day, I'm chatting with the same friend on IM. and he says \"So have you watched that Dr. Horrible thing yet?\"

I said something like, \"no, but maybe I'll google it later.\" And then a link appeared.

Now I do that to my other friends.

Well, I'm from The Netherlands, so I didn't hear anything about it in the media.

I was just looking if Joss had done anything new laterly on IMDB.com, and there it was... 😀

The world is a mess, and I just... need to rule it

My husband found it online somewhere, saw it had Nathan Fillion in it- and he knows I'm a big fan... but Dr. Horrible RULES... his wish is my command!! Hey... I guess it was a crazy random happenstance.
