Free Viewing Returns!

You can watch Dr Horrible’s Sing Along Blog online once again for free via Hulu. This IS still available to those who are outside the USA.

… Point being, HULU hosted Dr. Horrible for free for a week, which we, the mushortio-makers, are forever grateful for, and now you can stream it for free on their site. How awesome is that? I know, you’re humbled. Stop groveling. Just remember: the more you watch it, the more you will understand about life and the universe and hydroponics. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry…. and you just might learn long division. With songs! PLEASE watch it. We’re so lonely… –Joss Whedon

    YAY!

Glad to have this back on so I can bounce it to friends, since I didn’t have the chance before it went offline.

    Meagan Says:

Odd. The initial streaming during the original release were fine for me to view, but now I get “Sorry, currently our video library can only be streamed from within the United States”.

    Inso Says:

Meagan - I got that the first time I clicked on, too. Try clicking on one of the links to the episodes at the bottom of the screen when that comes up. I didn’t see the message again.

Now this is what I call great news.

I have more time to tell all my friends who have missed it so far over here in Germany.

I just tried Hulu works for me.

Thanx guys this is very nice. What about the international Itunes solution, so far, German itunes does know anything about it…

    Cheers

    Beate

Aw man! I already paid for it (and I’d do it again regardless). :P Glad they’re getting the word out again. I think the demand skyrocketed even more after the free viewing ended.

I haven’t had a chance to get Act III working on ITunes yet since I bought it last week (playback was choppy). Thank goodness it’s out for free viewing again, especially to non-US folks (I hope you all can see it). Can’t wait to catch the rest tonight! Yippee!

    sands856 Says:

I love free viewing! But I think this show’s so great that it’s worth the buy on iTunes anyway. Now all we need is that dvd!

Does anyone know what the symbol on the wall behind Dr. Horrible is? It looks kinda like a celtic biohazard sign.

    Corinne Says:

Hulu site doesn’t work internationally… it comes up with a “can only be streamed inside the US” so i can’t watch it as I’m in Australia… *sigh*

I love being able to watch this whenever I want there’s just one thing…….you cant leave it like this! I want more. there has to be more to the story. Please make another one. The fans demand it. Use the same cast and keep the amazing music and Neil Patrick Harris is awesome. I sucks Penny died. She’s pretty and has a great voice. More please.

    iapetus Says:

Corinne: Works fine for me from outside the US - try going in from the hulu.com front page and see if that helps at all.

It’s nice to be able to watch this for free from outside the US, but it would be even nicer to be able to pay for it. Has any news surfaced on iTunes downloads outside the US?

    Hot Piece of Awesome Says:

This is awesome! Since I noticed Dr. Horrible can still be watched online (and even outside the US!!) I’ve probably seen it five or six times. I will keep on watching it over and over…

It needs to get as much attention as possible. I’m all for a sequel. Can’t wait until the DVD finally comes out. I think it’s gonna be totally worth it buying it with all the extra stuff. I’m looking forward to this.

Dr. Horrible is the best thing that could happen!

To Falen, post 14: The sign is a biohazard sign with “Toxic Tavern” written in neon lamps.

And to the Awesome League of Awesome, MANY MANY MANY THANKS! :D

This is brilliant, I love musicals, I love Neil Patrick Harris, I love Joss Whedon… and i especially love the idea of a musical series. Strong work and I can’t wait for more!!

    rgrocott Says:

Great that it’s available again, since I’m not an ITunes fan, and you can’t pay to download without it.

Only problem is, the original free screening could be watched full-screen, and now I can only see it in a tiny box :( Does anyone know how to get this new version to show in a larger window (apart from lowering my screen resolution)?

  22. 22
    icemaker Says:

    @rgrocott :
You can have a full screen version here: http://www.hulu.com/watch/28343/dr-horribles-sing-along-blog

    Spoom Says:

Still not allowing non-US visitors to view the video. I realize Hulu’s making an exception to *every other video on their site* here, but it would be nice to be able to see it again.

Looking forward to the DVD, and if there’s a non-iTunes non-DRMed download to buy, I’ll be all over it.
