    TheGamut Says:

Yeah. Buffy wasn’t a big hit with me. (It still isn’t. No knock against anyone involved. But it just wasn’t my flavor… like sauerkraut.)

Indie rules. It’s like “Stone Soup”… except without the coercion.

(Stone Soup is where a sheister came into a village that each one hoarded their own farm produce away from each other and the sheister set a cauldron filled with water, lit a fire, boiled the water and placed a large stone in the cauldron. The villagers came out and looked on with interest. The stranger tasted the “soup” and commented that it would be perfect with a little garlic. One of the villagers that kept the garlic though about it and got some garlic for the stranger in exchange for a serving when the soup was done. The stranger tasted again after adding the garlic and said that potatoes would make it perfect. The villager with potatoes went and got three, also in exchange for a serving. This went on with each villager chipping in what they kept — beef, carrots, celery, etc. — until it was ready. They all had a serving and agreed that it was the best kind of soup there was. After the stranger left with his cauldron, leaving his stone behind, they all would pitch in for great feasts from then on.)

And now you know, and knowing is half the battle. G.I.Joe!
