The very last shot was a bit awkward too, with Neil back at home. I guess it's symbolic, but it probably should've just finished at the evilscenething place.
On that note though, it got better the second and third time I watched it

Very much the Joss ending some people were predicting. On first viewing, I half hoped that that last shot meant that all or part of the last number hadn't happened, but no. I don't think so.

What happened to EVERYTHING that was said in the first two? Everybody suddenly became two-dimension flat! Did Penny even get a line? Everything I loved about the Doctor went away!
…it was like they wrote the ending scene first, with rough-draft characters, then went and fleshed them out in an amazing one & two, but left number three as-was.

Because nothing was left. Capt. H. was always 2-D. Penny made Billy real. Without her, there's no more Billy… only the stereo-typical Dr. H… who covers his eyes to keep people from seeing that he's crying. (Not so 2-D after all, eh?)

The more I think about it the more it seems like a tragedy… which kinda came out of nowhere and sideswiped me.
I swear… the only thing going for it is that last scene. Nonetheless, I consider it the ultimate anti-climax; the other two are just so good, and got me so attatched to it that it was able to not only kinda let down, but hurt how everything turned out.

I feel like Joss let somebody else write the music, songs and direct part three. I loved the first two, I must have watched them a dozen times and I had memorized most of the songs and then he gives us THAT as the end!?! GHAAAAA!!! HULK SMASH!

Always with the death and the angst. Even in the what-I-thought-was-to-be-happy musical web series.
I feel so sad inside….
The other two… they were SO GOOD! I've been jumping all over my sister to watch them for days now. I feel like it's not even worth it now. She'll hate the ending.
Like I hate the ending.
It had it's funny moments, yes. And the first song with all the people was good, as was Hammer's song. And NPH did a great creepy-ass villain bit while Hammer was frozen. But GAH! As soon as Hammer unfroze, not so good. It was all over the place. I feel like the whole thing went too damn fast. I don't feel any resolution at all.
Joss, why must you do this to us? You SO better have an explanation. And that DVD better kick ass…

Yeah, I liked the songs from the 1st 2 acts better too (especially the 2nd. Loved that the best).
I can get why people didn't like Act 3 so much but it's classic Joss. he doesn't give resolutions. Like penny said "things happen" not for a reason. Sidesweeping tragedies from comedy is what joss is about. I really wanted this lighthearted series to come to a happy ending too but that's not Joss's way and it'd probably just be cheesy if it did end that way. probably the only way it wouldnt' be cheesy is if it lasted a LOT more episodes. Should have figured Joss would end it this way.
Felt kinda like the Angel ending.
BTW. Penny dying was soo sad, especially her last words. I can't watch it again.
