From the interview on the main page:
“MT: I’ve seen also the sort of speculation on song titles that I love, that tickles my little heart. So I feel that once we release the CD with the actual titles and lyrics and everything it’ll be fun for everyone to be like ‘Oh! That’s what it’s called’”=
==
I can’t find a thread specifically for guessing the the song title names, so I thought I would see what fans’ guesses are.
Here is what I’m calling them until we know:
Act I
“With My Freeze Ray”
“Signed, Bad Horse”
“Penny’s Petition Song”
“What a Man ’s Gotta Do”
~
Act II
“On the Rise”
“Signed, Bad Horse (Reprise)”
“Rose-Colored Glasses” (alternately: “Penny’s Pep Talk”)
“Brand New Day”
~
Act III
“The Perfect Story (So They Say)”
“Captain Hammer’s Speech”
“Slipping”
“Everything You Ever Wanted”

Act I
(Title) <- (added) "Stop" "Signed, Bad Horse" (agree) "Help"
(The Heist — Instrumental) <- (added) "What a Man ’s Gotta Do" (agree) ~ Act II "I Can't Believe My Eyes" "Signed, Bad Horse (Reprise)" (agree) "Here's a Story" "Brand New Day" (agree) ~ Act III "The Perfect Story (So They Say)" (agree) "Everyone's a Hero" "Slipping" (agree) "Everything You Ever Wanted" (agree)
(End Titles) <- (added; I think that's what they call it rather than "credits")

Act 1:
"Laundry Day" or "Freeze Ray" I can't quite decide.
"Bad Horse"
"Caring Hand"
"What a Man's gotta do"
Act 2:
"On the Rise"
"Bad Horse (Reprise)"
"Story of A Girl"
"Brand New Day"
Act 3:
"So They Say"
"Everyone's a Hero"
"Slipping"
"Everything You Ever Wanted"
"End Titles" <- That's definitely a nice instrumental piece.

This thread is fun to see people's guesses, and it should be fun to compare when the soundtrack comes out. Thanks for adding the instrumental music…there is really some beautiful instrumental music as well, and I do hope that it is included on the soundtrack when it comes out.

Got to add Capt. H.'s one-word song:
"WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!" *shoots the finger at Dr. H.*
(Just before he says "if it isn't Dr. Horrible"… as in "Well, if it isn't Dr. Horrible.")

Was wondering what it was, but I think I agree with "way", ie. he's simply finishing his song that was so rudely interrupted at "in their own…" (now THAT's carrying a note)

I'm 100% sure it's "way" the last word of the lyric he was singing when he was frozen

I finally was able to listen in silence and it's "Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy,"
The dialog is apparently "Why, it's a death ray."

I thought about the names of the songs, but you know… they could still change all the names if they wanted to. Nothing is out yet. Anyway, here:
Dr. Horrible – Act One Songs:
Freeze Ray
The Application
Caring Hand
A Man’s Gotta Do What A Man’s Gotta Do
Dr. Horrible – Act Two Songs:
On the Rise
Phonecall
Even in the Darkness
Brand New Day
Dr. Horrible – Act Three Songs:
So They Say
Everyone’s a Hero in Their own Way
Slipping
Everything I ever
I transcribed the lyrics and put them on a web page (below) with photos and screen captures. There's a printable page too.
PS. I was thinking about the line in the chorus of the last song, "Everything You Ever". It doesn't ever say "ever wanted". I think it's meant to be interpreted as wanted, feared, etc. It's open-ended.

Here's what I called them when I ripped the soundtrack for myself:
- Act 1
- Stop The World
- Bad Horse Chorus 1
- (I didn't rip Penny's song since it's so short)
- What A Man's Gotta Do (this song is in 2 parts)
- Act 2
- On The Rise
- Bad Horse Chorus 2
- Growing
- Brand New Day
- Act 3
- So They Say
- Everyone's a Hero
- Slipping
- Fine

Sorry for the double-post, but…
After rewatching it a few times, I realized that just before getting frozen, Captain Hammer is right at the climax of his song. he sings:
"…Everyone's a hero in their–"
so it makes sense that after being unfrozen, he would finish his lyric:
"–waaaaaaay!"

Exactly what I keep trying to say LOL… I'm 100% sure it's WAY not "why" or anything else
