Hi everyone! I've just joined, so that I could share this. (While it could go under "Fan Space," my new fan page is really just there for the music.)
I've put transcriptions here for "Freeze Ray," "On the Rise" and "Brand New Day". There are lots of notes and tabs to help guitarists in particular (and singers, for "On the Rise"). I've made them as authentic as I can (where reasonable), but constructive criticism is welcome.
Meanwhile, I'll poke around here to enjoy others' contributions.
(Paradoxmo, those projects are awesome! I used to do full score arranging too, and I appreciate your artistry. I just fixed one bit of "Freeze Ray" after listening to your computer rendition, and I'm sure a perusal of your score could help me even more.)

Hey, tabs! A lot of great performance advice– cool. Now only if I could play guitar…
I'm certainly no guitarist (basic chords only), but take a look at my piano/guitar/vocal reductions. I have chord symbols in there that should be accurate, except for Bsus2 in Perfect Story you should play F#sus4– I'll be updating that one soon.
In particular some of the harder chords to hear are: G# half-dim7 in On the Rise ("evil inSIDE of me"), and Eb/D in Freeze Ray (second chord of "stand STILL").
I'd love to see more! Keep it up!
ArsNovaChris also on this forum has some chords here: http://drhorrible.110mb.com/chordsandsheets.htm
Might be interesting to compare his take on the songs and yours.

Thanks for pointing that out; I'm new to Simple:Press Forum, and have apparently been spoiled by those that allow hypertext. Link fixed. (Oddly, the wrapping problem didn't go away then; I had to add a hard return.)
G# half-dim7! Huh. [Joe goes and listens to it.] You nailed it. The note E is so prominent in the melody (even though I don't hear it in the instruments) that I can't help but think of the chord as an E9/G#. (The same notes, plus E.)
Eb/D: You're right again, and this one's embarrassing, given the attention I paid to that chord.
I will fix those shortly. Thank you so much!

The E actually is in the mandolin part (listen very closely to Penny's chorus, it's easy to hear there; the other times it's a bit drowned out by the piano), but it's an offbeat note in the sequence G#-B-E-F#. I'm considering that little bit to be countermelodic rather than harmonic, so I didn't include it in the chord. You, of course, are free to take a different interpretation. (-:

In your capoed rendition of Brand New Day, might wanna try an Ebdim instead of B7 or B in the choruses. Good idea to play it with the capo though, does make it much easier for guitarists!

Technically, that should be D#dim in E minor (as the VII chord), but yes, I agree with that, I don't think there's a B (original key C) in that chord.

Good catch, ArsNovaChris! The instrument that sounds like a saw wave briefly hits a C, but that's really just on its way to settling on Bb for the rest of the chord. Oh, and the vocals keep returning to C, reinforcing that C7 feeling. (Okay, C7/E — the bass is clear.)
Having tried several variations just now, I haven't found a voicing for Edim, with or without the capo, that sounds as full and satisfying as playing a C7 (with the capo). So I'll keep playing the C7, but will certainly update my chords.
Thanks!
