Well.
I've adapted Freeze Ray so that it can be sung in Spanish. I agree that it is much bette to hear this in english, but I've found that my non-english-speaking friends have trouble reading the subtitles in some songs, miss what's happening on screen and it is impossible to put every sentence and give time to read it. (And I miss many jokes and ideas in the subtitles of the DVD). So, being a writer and an amateur singer and composer, I decided to do it anyway.
I certainly can sing, but lack the technology to do anything else but to record myself without the music track behind (but on cue).
I plan to adapt everything else, and wonder if anyone at all in the world has interest in spanish lyrics for this musical masterpiece.
Problems I had when adapting Freeze Ray:
- Short sentences: English is a languaje which allows to say more with less words than Spanish, yet, I wanted to put every idea on it in a way that was decent for the song. Had to loose the underthings tumbling in the process. I made two or three long sentences, but they are easy to sing and match with the mouths in the video if one knows the adapted rithm.
-Freeze Ray: Because of the same thing, "Rayo Paralizante" was something which was unsingable. Therefore, I had to translate it to "Pausarayo" (Pause Ray)

Dr. Horrible:
Cuando voy
a lavar
Ahí está
Miralá
Me quisiera
acercar.
Gobernar
Tu y yo
Ya verás
Dr. Horrible:
Eres genial
Penny:
"Que?"
Dr. Horrible:
no… que…que… ¡A lavar!…
Que más da
Con mi pausarayo podré…

BAckup wellcome.
