I'm surprised no one seems to be asking this question! At the end of act 3 during the party scene, just before putting on his red costume, Dr Horrible greets a man in a purple suit. This guy is obviously important because Dr. Horrible ignores everyone else at the party except Moist and the man in the purple suit. I dont think he shows up anywhere else, or is mentioned or anything.
Who is he?

Kind of a followup the credits mention him as the Purple Pimp, played by Jonathan Reilly.
Is that all the information we have about his significance to the plot?

I could be wrong, but I think it's the guy that owns the house that they used for filming Dr Horrible's lair.

Well since we're on the topic of characters whom we don't know of. Who is the man in the black and pink outfit with the boxing gloves?

That would be the Pink Pummler! He makes his first apperence with Moist when the sing “Perfect Day.”
