Upon my 34th time of waching Dr. Horrible, I noticed something. I found ironic that DeadNotSleeping, who wrote to Dr. Horrible about Penny, has that nickname. Do you think it is a reference to the state of Penny at the end of the mushortio?

I've heard plenty of fans speculating that this is Joss's way of telling the audience that Penny is dead for good. I think it's reasonable given the massive amount of undertones in the rest of the series.

OMG after the bazillionth time of watching I never thought of that! The name of the person emailing never even dawned on me to be foreshadowing but…man knowing Joss's foreshadowing from other shows….holy crap it probably was…

… this is going to sound stupid, but I have no idea what the word "mushortio" means… I thought it was just something random but it sounds now like it has some kind of significance. o_O

Comes from Movie and Short…is the way they refer to Dr. Horrible, as it is something between the two of them.

DeadNotSleeping is Penny.
Re-Watch the story, and you will see that penny conveniently shows up, to nudge Dr. H in the direction he needs, in order to mold him from the wimp he is, into the Man he needs to be.
"She's talknig to me, why is she talking to me now"
She gets seduced right in front of Hammer, allowing Dr.H to get the wonderflonium
In the laundrymat, she waits until Dr.H cant leave, to announce that Cpt Hammer is coming.
She knows hes a douchy Jock, will recognize him, and since shes already told hammer about her laundry buddy, has no doubt that Hammer, will say something to infuriate Dr.H, and finally giving him the impetus of being the Man he needs to be.
And finally, when "Dying" she mentions that Cpt. Hammer will save them, allowing Dr.H to "take credit" for the killing of her, and in one fell swoop, destroying Hammer, and Securing Dr.H's spot in the ELE.
The story is a plot, by DeadNotSleeping, to disgrace and try to kill Hammer, and using someone she sees potential in, to do so.

Somehow, I just can't picture Penny plotting that all, especially with her surprised mouthing of Billy's name towards the end (after his "head up, Billy Buddy" line).
I thought of the DNS thing as the beginning of the Snow White allusions. As in, Snow White is believed to be dead when she is placed in her glass coffin, while she is actually asleep. The opposite is true for Penny, she's dead, not sleeping. Penny's Snow White outfit and the "no happy ending" line are all there to hint at the anti-fairytale ending.

I also find this highly unlikely. I agree with Cadence about the surprised mouthing of "Billy." I think Penny inadvertently becomes the catalyst for many events by catching the eye of the conflicting men. I think her only goal was caring for the homeless, not anything nefarious or sly.
