When I first clicked on the ITunes link for Dr. Horrible, it would tell me that it was not available from the Australian store.

Later on, I clicked on a link to an animated version of Alan Moore's Watchmen comic. (Don't bother getting it, the comic is far superior). From there, it told me that the Watchmen comic was unavailable in the Australian store, but asked if I wanted to switch to the US store. And so I did.

After that, I clicked on "TV Shows" (Not to the left, but up the top. Clicking on the words "TV Shows" on the left didn't help much) From there, you are able to see the Dr. Horrible section of the ITunes store.

I clicked on "Download", but this is where I hit a snag. I selected Paypal as a method of payment, but after entering my details, I was told that Paypal needed a US source of funds. Creating a fake Paypal account with a fake US address did not help. Neither did using Hotspot Shield. I suspect it wanted me to link the paypal account to an American bank account.

So, that's a step closer to downloading from outside the States, but it's not quite there yet. This is possibly a dead end, but I thought maybe somebody a little more tech-savvy than me would have some ideas. So I'm throwing it out here.

Yeah, I have to say I'm very sceptical about that. Whedon & co are pulling the episodes from ITunes July 29th. Australian ITunes would have to seriously restructure their site in record time to accomodate sale (I don't think they even sell TV shows). It's not happening.

There's the DVD, of course, but frankly that's a pretty expensive option, especially if the DVDs are produced over there. The shipping costs of sending them here could be somewhat prohibitive.

Frankly, it's not a good deal for non-Americans.

I know another way, just haven't been bothered trying. You buy an US Itunes card (probably from ebay) and set up a US account.

I'm also from Australia and I can't believe itunes DON'T HAVE IT YET!

Any update on the release in Australia?
