I would like some easy way to give money.
The traditional media has a lot of restrictions.
I'm using Debian GNU/Linux. There is no Linux version of iTunes availible. Even if it was, I could not use it if the content has DRM. (See the Debian Social Contract)
Trying to change media but still holding on to the old fears?
There is a lot of better alternatives like magnatune.com
You could also save a lot of efforts by using P2P for distribution.

i agree entirely with this.
since i don't use itunes there is no way to support new episodes except by buying stuff i don't want.
please give us a way to directly support this production (and future productions) without shelling out for middlemen or unwanted merchandise.
well, ok. a hammer t-shirt would be pretty cool. but still! the full twenty bucks going towards a new project would be even cooler.

There will be a DVD available too, so there's another option to financially support – PLUS you get lots of awesome extra goodies to enjoy.

that's cool but a dvd is part of the stuff i don't want.
some sort of direct pay option to mutant enemy would be perfect. all i want to do is p2p the show and pay to support the creation of new episodes. i'd really respect it if an official version was set up for p2p sharing, it's going to be there anyway.
please don't force me to support unnecessary resource and distribution costs.

Can't quite understand what you've got against DVDs *shrugs* but you're entitled to your opinion – I won't hold that against you.

That is besides the pont. I would in either case like to give some money directly to Mutant Enemy.
I personally has purchased all season DVDs of Buffy, Angel, Firefly and more. But I still has P2P versions of the episodes. I may for example want to add subtitle text in my own language (Swedish).
Maby I would both buy the DVD and give an extra donation. Maby there are some people that would like to give some money but don't care enough to get the DVD.
I have spred the word about Dr Horrible. My brother is not as big a fan as I am, but wanted to see what it was. He uses GNU/Linux just as I am. He didn't have the "right" version of flash to see the movie. His computer was to slow to show the P2P flv version. Finaly there was an avi version. Even my own computer was to slow for showing the flash movie in fullscreen, but the P2P avi version was just perfect.

One way to sort of donate would be to use a friend's windows/mac machine and buy the iTunes version a few times, even if you already have it through other means (p2p or whatever). I'm not sure how much of a cut iTunes takes, but it can't be that much, so the vast majority will go to Mutant Enemy (unlike shirts etc, where the majority goes to the cost of producing the item).

I am in the same boat as OP. I am using ubuntu, and do not have iTunes. I am also in New Zealand, so if I were to say buy a shirt, I would also have to buy shipping(this pretty much doubles the cost). I would very much like to help this show out, but not being able to download from iTunes, and being forced to support this by buying T-shirts, seems a bit silly.
