Sorry, but no comics. Dr Horrible's magic comes from the chemistry between actors, the music (duh!) and the "whoa" moments that you can only get with live fleshy actors. (Was anyone else impressed with not only the wicked look in NPH's eyes during "Slipping" but the badass costume upgrade sequence? Sorry guys, comics are sweet but they can't match that.)

Honestly? I think a half-hour sitcomish format TV series would be great with this. I know Joss & Company would be skittish of this (he did work for Roseanne after all. Eww *shivers*) Allow me to make some points:

1) The Webisodes are already nearly the length of a half hour network show. It would take only a little more effort to make them the right format (If anyone can do it, it would them thar Whedon boys and their gang)

2) As long as its not on Fox, the show would have a chance. *flips Spaceball salute to Fox*

3) The plot of the 3 webisodes could easily be the first season as Dr Horrible is aspiring to be in the ELE. (Hmm, parallels to aspiring actors and the showbusiness industry much?) Further seasons could be central around the good Doctor's early jobs and conflicts with ELE (like the Office with supervillians, better actors, and music!), dealing with other heroes or Capt Hammer and his therapist (who in my mind would be played by Seth Green. "I had the group LIQUIDATED, you little shit! They were insolent!")

4) Joss, I love the comics and the web-coms, but Im burning holes in my boxsets. I have a strange relationship with your particular brand of emotional sadism. In closing, get back to the shiny moving pictures! You're too bloody good at it!

HD. If The Guild is going HD, surely Dr. H can, too.

(PS. Be sure to contribute to Felicia Day's The Guild. Google it. End of line.)

Don't need to google it – here's the link http://www.watchtheguild.com – but you'll need to check it in a day or so, they've had too much traffic and need to move to a new server so they're fixin' it.

JW and company's point with Doctor Horrible was to get away from the standard distribution means (e.g. pitch something to a studio, produce a pilot, get the greenlight, and sign on for five seasons). Beside, NPH likely has at least one if not two years left on his contract for HIMYM on CBS.

Also, and no personal offense, the three acts can't really be stretched out into an entire season, certainly not a standard broadcast network season. While the cable networks are having success with 10 or so episodes, even that is still stretching out this material likely too much.

That's not to say at some point it can't be put on TV, but I think this lends itself more to the audience participation, interactive experience of a movie theater, with a live audience to sing along, similar to what was going on with Once More With Feeling.

I think that perhaps maybe they should do a combo.  Ok I feel the eyes on me oh yeah sure don't take the dragon thingy seriously.

*Roars at you all*

Picture this a Comic Book and Internet Series in one.  Like he does the drawings and shows them on the screen right.  Then you see Neil start to do his buisness and ecetera.  Get the point it's Intriguing. XD

*Roars again in case people think I am insane.*

I am The Green Dragon I leave no trail behind. I go about my evil deeds without stressing my mind. No one has ever caught up to me as they say. Then again people fear me more and more each day.
